My name is Yuhaniza, I am a third year student in University of Malaya, Malaysia. I am currently doing my Bachelor Degree in Languages in Linguistics, majoring in French language. It has always been my dream to travel and to discover another country besides Malaysia. Last year, my dream finally came true as I travelled to France for culture immersion in a french family.
-GOOD NEWS FOR ME-
After spending a month in France, I came back to my country and I had to sit for a French language proficiency test (DELF B2). I am so motivated to master this beautiful language after staying in France for a certain time. I struggled hard for the test, and I finally made it. I passed with a good marks, but I know that I still have a lot to learn.
I am selected by my lecturers to join an exchange programme in Paris, France. This exchange programme is specifically for students who performed well in studies and have a good level in French language. By joining this programme, it will allow me to have a double-degree and also to gain new experiences. Unfortunately, there are no scholarships provided and it will cost a lot of money which I know that my parents could never afford.
-Why I want to join this programme?-
I am sure that I will learn a lot through this exchange programme. A lot of experiences, new circle of friends, improving my skills in French language, learning how to live alone far from family; it will sure be great! Moreover, after graduating, I will have higher probability to get a good job to earn money for my family.
I believe that we should grab any opportunity that comes to us. So I decided not to just give up on this. It is not that easy for me to ask for money, but opportunity might comes only once. It is either to work hard on it, or just to give up on it. I chose to make this project comes true. I dream big, for small dreams have no magic.
Thank you so much for taking your time to read this. I appreciate everything; it doesn't have to be money, your thought counts too.
