Last March, she had a hard time breathing due to fluid in her lungs caused by a mass. She has undergone series of tests to determine if it is malignant. By July, results confirmed that the mass is benign and she has been taking medicines and treatments since then. However, last Sep 26 she had to be rushed to the hospital again due to difficulty in breathing. Doctors found out that the mass has been getting bigger and is inoperable; blood clotting has been seen in her left lungs. 2D echo was done last Sep 29 and this time it is her heart which ia covered with fluid causing the heaviness and difficulty in breathing. The radiation therapy was not that successful in draining the fluid which prompted her cardiologist to proceed with pericardiostomy today, Oct.6. She’s now at the ICU of Perpetual Help Medical Center, Las Pinas City. This procedure almost didn’t push thru as the family is already strained financially. Her mom had to plead with the hospital’s billing section to allow them to settle partially so that Rae may be operated on immediately. The father has been queuing at DSWD and will also ask help from the Office of the VP. Let us not cease helping our dear friend financially. The family needs our support because they love Rae so much and will do anything to free her from her serious illness. I believe that we are with them on this fight. Any financial help, we believe, will pave the way for our friend’s road to recovery. We are pleading for your prayers and support through this fundraising campaign for Rae.
