HELP ME RESTORE MY BUSINESS

In April 2020, the company I was working with laid me off by eliminating the department in which I served. The company was realigning its operations as a result of COVID19 pandemic economic impact. I was not given any cushioning. I put together all my savings and started a cyber-business with five computers but didn’t manage to get an A3 printer/copier. So I also obtained a loan to buy an A3 high speed printer/copier (Conica Minolta C360) hoping to repay within a years’ time.

The business started to pick up and I started servicing the loan but in January 2021 we woke up in the middle of the night to a shock of the year. My business neighbor alerted me to quickly go back to town saying the shops were being demolished. The premises we had hired were an encroachment of the Kenya railways land in Kitale town and the Kenya Railways was on a demolition spree to reclaim all of its encroached land for railway reconstruction.

I hurried to the road and hired a motorbike to town. Everyone was busy trying to salvage whatever little he could from his business. Two good Samaritans assisted me to evacuate my Conica Minolta C360 printer/copier out to a safer place. We went back and also managed to get two desktop computers. On reaching across the road, the Conica Minolta C360 printer/copier was gone. So I was only left with two computers and it took us a whole month to get another location.

The business in the new location became a big challenge to pick up while working with only two computers and without a printer.

Servicing a loan for the lost printer and meeting rental bills grounded me. I have been out of employment for more than three and a half years now. I have submitted many applications for employment but luck has not stood yet.

Please help me restore my business to support my family.
