Hi my name is Kryss and I'm a CASA licensed UAV controller.
I have always been interested in fixed wing UAVs but the new Skyprowler has so much potential... In the video you can see that it can be used as a medical aid, and that's the main reason I want to get one. I live in rural QLD where flash floods can often isolate people from medical help. With this UAV, I can help buy carrying prescrption medications, emergency supplies like epi pens etc, even small bottles of drinking water, over flooded roads without the risk of boating across. It can even fly in light rain, something very few other UAVs can handle. Because of the flight time and range I can also help with search and resque missions, providing live aerial video feed over the area that would help locate people or animals much faster than tracking around on foot and without the expense of a helicopter. Unfortunately, this will remain a fantasy of mine because I don't have sufficient income to purchase this UAV without your help. With your donations, I can save up enough to buy the Skyprowler. I would like to be able to do this by the end of this year, before flood season. I often hear on the news that people get flooded in a I really want to be able to help in this unique way. Hey, even my Dad gets flooded in when it rains for a day straight! So I know how it feels to be cut off, but it must be so much worse when there is a medical need that can't be met... I would really appreciate your help with this. You can read all about the Skyprowler at http://www.krossblade.com/ and I hope you see as much potential as I do.
Thank you again, blue skies and smooth sailing to all of you.
