Campaign Story
Pastor Manny Reyes Needs Your Help.
My father, Manny, now 72 yrs old, is a retired Professor of Theology of the Adventist University of the Philippines.
He is currently admitted at the Adventist Medical Center Manila in Pasay, recovering from an operation.
It all began five months ago when he slowly lost strength and was unable to move. It turned out he was bleeding internally. He was rushed to the hospital where it was found that his duodenum was bleeding. He spent a couple of weeks in the hospital for treatment.
We his family thought he had healed completely as five months passed when he regained his strength. But one late Sabbath afternoon while having a happy conversation with my mom, he suddenly vomited blood, lost strength, and collapsed. I was 2hrs away just coming home from a church concert when I received a distressed call from my mom. I rushed back and took him to an ambulance.
It had gotten worse. He was losing too much blood too fast. I saw lots of blood, and seeing vomited blood is the grimmest image I'll ever remember. His BP was dropping. He was taken to the Operating Room to stop the bleeding as a last resort.
After the operation he was taken to the ICU. His vital signs improved, and after two days he was transferred to a regular room.
After the operation, he underwent dialysis three times in 4 days.
We live in a sin-stricken world. But we believe God is in control, and we've seen the overwhelming love and support of friends and family for him.
We sincerely thank you for your prayers for him. May this campaign be a means for you to extend your love through monetary support.
Much love,
JORDAN S. REYES
