- RationaleAmidst the unceasing effort of the Philippine Educational System to promote the love of reading and to promulgate the English Proficiency to the students, still the Philippines has been experiencing a rare phenomenon- where there has been a slow incline of Non-readers.Thus, this celebration will encourage the students to read and to improve their English Proficiency in the process.
- ObjectivesThe celebration for the Reading Program cum English Festival aims to inculcate to students the love of Reading and English Language, as a tool that they can use to help them lead and succeed in their future endeavours.The celebration also aims to achieve the following objectives:
- Maximize students’ speaking and writing skills through friendly and worthwhile competition.
- Raise students’ appreciation of literary pieces of personal and social growth.
- Provide learning experience where students can exemplify values of honesty, sportsmanship, and goodwill.
