Postcards from the Unknown

Hi there, we're Cristina and Federica and we come from Italy! 

Almost 925 kilometers separate us, but our common passions and interests keep us together...among them two in particular, our love for photography and for travels.

The sad reality, though, is that we're two students who try to save up money without asking anything from their parents...in two words? we're flat broke.

And that's where Indiegogo makes its entrance onto our stage...we know, students asking for money just to travel for free!! And we can't actually deny that that's partly true, but there's more: we want whoever will help us raising the money we need to take part in our journey. How? You'll see what we'll see, and you'll see it through postcards we're going to print on location and send to you all.

We're not professionals, but we're very motivated and we'll be doing our best. As an example of what you might receive, we'll upload here some fac-simile postcards we made using photographs we took ourselves. 

 

Last but not least, you won't know which country or city you'll be receiving our postcards from! And that's simply because we don't know that either...we want to keep this trip as low-cost as we can, so we're monitoring sites which promote cheap trips in every city in Europe, sites as piratinviaggio.it or holidayguru.it.

After we gather the money we need we'll choose our destination, but we won't tell you; you'll discover it only once you'll receive the postcards in your mailboxes! 

And what if you live in the same city we're going to visit? In that case you'll receive another postcard from our hometowns, Genova and Catania.

Also, we're going to set up a Facebook page, in which we're going to update you all about our progresses regarding the trip and where you can communicate with us...suggestions and tips will be highly appreciated!

 

About budget and rewards:

As we've already said, we want to keep this trip low-cost. 

The money we're going to need is 700€:

-300€ will be for our flights and hotel for a 5/6 days stay

-300€ will be for a portable printer and all the material needed to print the postcards on location 

-and the last 100€ will be used for stamps...we're hoping to send lots of postcards!

We're going to send a "normal" postcard for a 5€ donation, and we'll create two "special" postcards with a designed background that we're going to send to whoever will kindly choose to donate more than 5€. 

Everything else, like food expenses, transportations fares and tickets to museums or other places we will visit will be payed by us...what we ask you is just a little help to physically get "there", nothing else.
