Godspeed!
I am raising this fund for our mother, Mama Glory G. Roslinda, 63 years old and a resident of Tagbilran City, Bohol, Philippines.
Late last year, around October 2018, Mama Glory felt worried because there was a nipple retraction (growing inward) of her left breast. So she saw a doctor who advised her to see another doctor for referral for a mammogram. But maybe because of fear, denial and maybe because Christmas was approaching, it was only late of February of this year that she finally decided to get a mammogram. The result of the mammogram was that there was a 3.1 cm lump in her left breast. Series of tests were then done and it was confirmed that Mama Glory have cancer. INVASIVE DUCTAL CARCINOMA (HER+), STAGE 2B. It took more than a month before she had her mastectomy which was last April 06, 2019. Mama Glory was advised to start her chemo sessions within six (6) weeks after the operation. But it took almost ten (10) weeks before she decided to have her chemo. She was still in denial, fear of the effects of chemo and most especially because of the expenses which would reach almost a million. Living in the Philippines and as we all know, being diagnosed with cancer will not only bring about physical and psychological stress, but financial as well. EACH IV CHEMO SESSION COSTS P 140,000.00 AND SHE HAS 6 (SIX) CYCLES PLUS TEN (10) CYCLES OF HERCEPTIN SUBCUTANEOUS INJECTION CYCLES COSTING P 86,000.00 PER CYCLE. She was, is and will be our strength and anchor. Mama Glory really worked hard for us with our father to give us five children a decent and comfortable life. She tried her best to give the best for us. And now that she is sick, we wanted to help her. But we are also financially challenged. We do not the capacity to pay the entire amount for her treatment. She is our superhero, our Darna (Philippine local heroine, equivalent to Superwoman). We are not used in seeing her weak and suffering. That is why seeing Mama Glory, our mother in that condition really crashes our hearts and spirits. We would like to knock on your generous hearts to please help her. Every little amount would be a big help. We are all brothers and sisters in this big wide world, please lend a helping hand. Thank you very much.
