Please help us fund our high school chess players for their education

Hi, I'm Dennis and I'm currently the school adviser and at the same time the coach of our school chess club. I'm currently teaching in a public high school here in the Philippines wherein most of our students came from a poor family.

Last November 16, 2015, I decided to organize a campus chess club because majority of our students are chess enthusiasts. Whenever they have free time, they would gather around under the shade of a mango tree near our school or inside a classroom that has been used for storage just to play with their friends and classmates. Sadly they only have one chess equipment that is made of cardboard with a a drawing of an actual chess board and a chess piece made of wood that they made. Seeing their passion and commitment for this particular type sport made me realize that I was so lucky when I was still a student because everything was provided. This is then main reason why I decided to create such club so that these talents will not go to waste and at the same time it will prevent them from joining in activities that can destroy their lives, like drugs.

I tried asking the school for financial assistance but they don't have the funds to support the club so I utilize my own money to fund the dreams of these students. The school will allow us to use the storage room for our meeting place right after classes for practice. In fact last month I used my entire salary just to buy chess equipment (chess mats and chess clock which is expensive if you buy in here in the Philippines). Not only that, I have been providing them snacks and fare allowances out from my personal savings. But I cannot do it alone and yet I don't know until when will be able to support them because I also have financial obligations at home. I also feared that some of these students will not be able to go the school next year because their parents don't have the money to send them to school.

Help me realize the dreams of these students by donating to the chess club. Your donations will go a long way as it will provide financial assistance to the club like purchasing additional equipment and most especially these will help fund the 25 student members of the club to continue with their studies.

For the Information of everyone, our club is the overall champion last year in the City Open Chess tournament.
