Please Help Support Bart’s Medical Expenses

UPDATE: We received word that Bart passed away last Thursday, June 6th, and was laid to rest in his hometown last Sunday, June 9th. We would like to thank everyone who prayed for his recovery and sent their donations when we first opened this project. One last time we are knocking on your kind hearts for your help with his unsettled hospital bills.

Artman Diaz, fondly called Bart by his friends, was initially confined last March 31st due to the swelling of the varices in his stomach and esophagus. Endoscopy was done and rubber band ligation was performed in his esophagus to address his condition.

Bart was diagnosed with LIVER CIRRHOSIS. This condition was further worsened by low levels of albumin in his blood. He was prescribed costly antiviral medications as well as those aiming to prevent the swelling of his veins and increase albumin.

He was admitted again last April 25th due to vomitting blood. His stomach was enlarged so an endoscopy was done again. His situation has hardly improved since.

On May 6th, he was admitted for the 3rd time due to difficulty breathing. He is scheduled to undergo paracentesis to remove the water in his lungs.

As of today, he has already exceeded the alloted coverage of his HMO. He still has a long way to go to fully recover from this ordeal. This is why we are appealing to your generosity. We would highly appreciate whatever amount you can donate to help pay his medical bills.

Bart is a very dear friend who listened, gave sound advice, and provided encouragement during troubled times. Throughout his life, he persevered despite the struggles. He managed to survive in college in the midst of financial and personal hardships.

As a colleague, Bart was good at his work, always eager to help out his teammates, and contributed to the growth and success of the departments and the companies where he was employed.

Please help Bart recover and get healthy again. He is simply a working, productive member of society who happened to be hit by a medical crisis. Please help Bart overcome this so he can resume work and provide for his family. He is just like most of us who aspire to provide and take care of our families.
