Please help my mother

We lost our beloved father 3 months ago at the age of 69. My father was diagnosed with lung cancer and metastatic brain cancer in September of 2022. Until the diagnosis he did not have any healthy issues apart from blood pressure. It was a big shock for the family, and we started a big fight against cancer with heart operations (the lung cancer led to pericardial fluid collection which was very dangerous for his heart), brain radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Unfortunately, after six months of continuous hospital admissions we couldn't save him and even if we didn't leave him alone even for a second this whole six months, my mother and I, unfortunately at the last week of his life he got Covid from inside the hospital and they putted him in covid clinic and they didn’t let us be with him, so he died alone and that hurt us very much.

My mother and father were married for the last 43 years, like my age is. It was the first and only love of each other as they were together from the age of 17 for my mother and 26 for my father. They had three kids, me and my two smallest brothers. My mother several years now, after a very serious health problem of one of my smallest brothers (which I would prefer not to mention about it now, more because my mother do not like to discuss about it) started to have psychologically health issues with panic attacks, anxiety disorder and depression. She is taking psychiatric drugs more than twenty years now trying to handle the anxiety of this heath issue of her son which is still existing and make her be always in the fear that maybe something bad will happen. All this anxiety led to the onset of rheumatoid arthritis for more than ten years now accompanied by fibroblasts (inomyalgia) which makes her suffer in pain and she takes all the time analgetic pills to struggle with the pain as well as cortisone and methotrexate which is a very strong immunosuppressive. She has high blood pressure and for the last seven years now she also has chronic respiratory lung disease and takes inhaled medications every day. When my father was going to have a heart operation for pericardiac window in order the fluid can go out from the heart, my mother from her anxiety had a small stroke and I had both nursing in the same hospital. Very bad memories for me..Fortunately everything went well for her and skipped the risk..

Now that my father passed away, she cannot handle his loss, she is always crying, and she doesn’t eat properly even though I always bring her food or tell her to eat healthier. I am the only of her child that lives near her in 30 km distance from each other. My brothers live in other areas of Greece several hours away and cannot see what is going on as well as mother do not want to tell them anything in order not to make them feel sad. The problem now is that my father left her a lot of bills and lawns for the house that she is unable to pay by herself now that my father is gone. She has a small pension and they already have paid a lot of money for the treatments of my father as well as later the expenses of the funeral that costed almost 3000 euros. She has given only 1500 until now with our financial help, so, she owes 1500 euros for the funeral and the tomb. The lawns that my father left her are more than 100.000 euros and she has to put a lawyer in order to see what she can do in order not to lose the house that they were living together in the village. The lawyer also asked her money to procced to her defense more than 1.000 euros. Unfortunately, all these money are too many and cannot help her financial nor me neither my brothers as we have our own financial problems due to the economical crisis in Greece and due to after Covid situation. We gave her as much money as we could give her but unfortunately, we do not have more to help her. That is why I tried to figure out a way to help her and I found this site and this way.

I will be as mush grateful as you cannot imagine if you will support her and take a burden out of her shoulders, soul, and heart. She needs all the help she can get now. She is a very suffering person with a heart of a small kid that is kind and helpful to everyone, that is why I want to help her so much. I have not told her anything yet for this movement of mine because I want to see first how it will go and not give her false hopes.

When I saw them both in this moment I felt the need to take them a photo to remind me that we were there for my father and tried our best..especially her..
