Please help my family’s fight against Covid

We thought the peak of our despair was when my mother passed away because of cervical cancer a few years ago. But, we were wrong. The COVID-19 pandemic is worse. My whole family became infected with COVID-19.

On August 8, 2021, my father and our beloved nanny, "ate" Belle, had difficulty of breathing. We rushed both of them to the hospital. Unfortunately, a few days after being confined in an overcrowded hospital, our dearest ate Belle did not survive. Ate Belle had been with us for most of her life. We consider her to be our second mother. It's a tragic loss to our family and hers, where she was a breadwinner.

My father, after being induced with high flow oxygen and treated with several anti-COVID medications, is continuously showing signs of improvement.

My only brother is also infected with COVID but he has less lethal symptoms. He still has to recover himself and is recuperating by self-quarantine.

All the hospital bills and the necessary expenses have been piling up one after the other. With our small business forced to shut down due to constant lockdowns in the Philippines, we are deeply and sincerely appealing for help from this financial sinkhole. Our family and next of kin have chipped in. And while I am grateful to be able to avail of a discounted hospital rate at SLMC where I work, we are still short by a huge amount.
