Please Help Me Become a Psychologist!

Good day! My name is Nyah Riza S. Dizon, an 18-year old incoming college freshman for A.Y. 2020-2021. I currently live in Carmona, Cavite, Philippines with my parents and an older brother. I was an active student and a candidate for graduation at Angelo Levardo Loyola Senior High School and has been declared "with High Honors" for S.Y. 2019-2020. Since junior high school, I began to express deep interest for psychology and therefore have decided to take Bachelor of Science in Psychology in college.

Attached below is a photo of my grades. For the first semester, I obtained a general average of 93 and I am, therefore, a student "with Honors". Finally, for the second semester, I managed to get an average of 95. I will graduate this school year as a student "with High Honors".

WHY DID I START THIS FUNDRAISER?

My father is currently working as an Electrical Engineer. My mother, on the other hand, did not finish college and is therefore unemployed. I have an older brother who is currently a second-year college student taking BS Marine Engineering.

I started this fundraiser in order to lessen the financial burden of my father who works very hard to provide us our daily needs. My brother's tuition fee is very expensive and now that we are expecting another member of the family, I figured our financial situation will be quite rough. Because I failed to pass a scholarship exam, I had to find another way to help my father financially.

Together with this fundraiser, I will be searching for an online job. Do know that what you will donate will never be wasted.

AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

As a STEM student, I have been genuinely interested in the field of research. Thanks to my very competent adviser, I have made several significant achievements being a senior high school student.

In 2019, we have been given an opportunity to have our group researches published internationally via a research conference held by Ascendens Asia (Research Advocacy for Community Empowerment).

Later that year, I participated in two competitions about research namely Division Festival of Talents (DFOT), and Regional Festival of Talents (RFOT). To put it simply, I placed 3rd for DFOT and was a national competition qualifier* for RFOT. [*We did not participate in the nationals]

Why did I include this information? Well, I am very certain that I can produce more researches in the future that would be very beneficial in the field of psychology. I want to let you know that I am determined to do my best in this field. I express my gratitude to everyone who will donate for my tuition fee.
