please help me and my family, we are running out of saving for chemotherapy

I am Chonnipa Taicharoen from Thailand. I have been married to Malaysia in 2012 and live in Puchong, Selangor. I am a full-time wife with three children. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in June 2021.

During the epidemic, my husband and I spent our savings on maintaining the family and three children. I also try to sell my desserts online, hoping to survive this epidemic safely. But this sudden news completely dropped us to the bottom.

Due to the accelerated deterioration of the disease and the Covid epidemic, I cannot go back to Thailand for treatment. More unfortunately, I originally planned to buy an insurance, but the illness came too quickly like a tornado.

The doctor said that I need four cycles of chemotherapy and Chemotherapy, and the cost of medical and hospitalization for each cycle is about 40,000 to 50,000 ringgit. Then wait for the report of DNA and bone marrow, and then decide whether bone marrow transplantation is needed. Bone marrow transplantation also needs to bear expensive medical expenses. Since I am a Thai, the cost of receiving treatment in Malaysia will be more expensive than that of a Malaysian. And I cannot get assistance from relevant government departments. My family and I feel very helpless.

I will be having my first cycle of chemotherapy on 14 June 2021, and i felt miserable and depressed since i knew about my sickness. Too much worry about my kids, my sickness and medical cost.

June 14th, I will be admitted to the UMSC Hospital for the first phase of Chemotherapy. In addition to carrying a heavy heart, I am also worried about my child, medical expenses and illness. In addition to telling myself to be Positive, I left the rest to God to decide.

เรื่องราวต่อไปนี้เป็นเรื่องราวที่แย่ที่สุดในชีวิตของแม่

ทุกคนมักจะเรียกเราว่าแม่ทราย (ชื่อจริงของแม่ ชนม์นิภา ไต๋เจริญ) แม่เป็นคนไทย แต่งงานมาอยู่ที่ ปูชง รัฐสลังงอร์ ประเทศมาเลเซีย แม่ทรายมีลูกทั้งหมด 3 คน งานหลักเป็นแม่บ้านเลี้ยงลูก

แม่ทรายเริ่มสังเกตุตัวเองว่ามีอาการช้ำตามตัว มีเม็ดเลือดแตกตามตัวเป็นจุดแดง ๆ ตามตัวโดยที่ไม่ได้ไปเฉี่ยวชนสิ่งใด ๆ และรอยมันเพิ่มขึ้นมาเรื่อย ๆ แม่ทรายจึงตัดสินใจไปตรวจร่างกาย และตรวจเลือด ที่โรงพยาบาล UMSC กับ prof.Bee และพบว่าผลการตรวจแม่ทรายเป็นมะเร็งเม็ดเลือดขาวเฉียบพลันชนิดมัยอิลอยด์ (Acute Myeloid Leukemia – AML)

เนื่องจากมะเร็งเม็ดเลือดขาวแบบเฉียบพลันเป็นมะเร็งที่ไม่สามารถรอเวลาได้ และเสี่ยงที่จะเสียชีวิตถ้าไม่รีบทำการรักษาโดยด่วน และด้วยสถานการณ์โควิดที่มีข้อจำกัดเยอะมาก ๆ คุณหมอเฉพาะทางทางด้านนี้ที่โรงพยาบาลรัฐมีไม่กี่ที่เท่านั้น คุณหมอได้ปรึกษากันเรื่องส่งตัวไปที่อัมปัง ที่อัมปังมีคุณหมอแค่ท่านเดียว ในเคสของแม่ตอนนี้ต้องใช้ คุณหมอสองท่านในการดูแลเคส ตอนนี้อุปกรณ์ทางการแพทย์ในช่วงโควิดที่มีเคสคนป่วยจากโควิดเยอะมาก ในกรณีฉุกเฉินที่แม่อาจมีความเสี่ยงต้องใช้เพื่อช่วยชีวิตในโรงพยาบาลรัฐก็ไม่เพียงพอ จึงไม่สามารถส่งตัวไปได้ และไม่มีโรงพยาบาลรัฐไหนจะรับในช่วงเวลานี้ เรามีการพูดคุยกันถึงการส่งตัวกลับไทยแต่ก็เป็นไปไม่ได้ในช่วงโควิดเช่นกัน เพราะไม่สามารถรอเวลาได้อีกแล้ว ที่แย่ไปกว่านั้นคือด้วยพิษเศรษฐกิจและโควิดทำให้แม่ทรายประกันขาดและยังไม่ได้ต่อประกันและมันสายเกินไปแล้วที่จะทำได้

หลังทำการวินิจฉัย Prof. Bee แจ้งกระบวนการรักษาว่าต้องทำเคมีบำบัดทั้งหมด 4 รอบ และแต่ละรอบจะใช้เงินในการรักษา 40,000- 50,000 ริงกิต ณ ตอนนี้ยังไม่ทราบผลตรวจ DNA จากไขกระดูก ซึ่งจะทราบได้ภายหลังอีกประมาณ 1 สัปดาห์ ซึ่งถ้าผลตรวจออกมาว่ามีความผิดปกติมาจากไขกระดูก แม่ก็อาจจะต้องรักษาด้วยการปลูกถ่ายไขกระดูกสันหลังร่วมด้วย

แม่ทรายจะต้องเริ่มเข้ารับการรักษาด้วยเคมีบำบัดในวันที่ 14 มิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2564 จริง ๆ แล้วแม่ทรายเองนั้นก็มีความกังวลมากในหลาย ๆ อย่าง ทั้งเรื่องของอาการป่วยและผลของการรักษา เรื่องลูก ๆ ที่เป็นห่วงอย่างที่สุด และเรื่องค่ารักษาพยาบาลที่เรานั้นค่อนข้างมีความกดดันเรื่องค่าใช้จ่ายที่หนักมาก ๆ

แม่ทรายจึงอยากขอรับบริจาค จากผู้ใจบุญที่อยากช่วยต่อชีวิตให้แม่ทรายได้มีชีวิตอยู่ต่อไปกับลูก ๆ ของแม่
