We desperately need a piano for our daughter to be able to play at home as often as possible. At the moment we have an old piano that we bought two years ago but it is unable to be fixed anymore, the tuning is impossible as the so many of the keys are broken and it is just not worth getting fixed anymore, nor can we afford what it would take.

My daughter is a sweet, lovely, gentle child who was born with C-ACC which stands for Complete Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum, meaning her Corpus Callosum is completely missing.  This is a congenital brain abnormality which involves the right and left hemispheres of the brain.

It is understood that learning music at an early age stimulates the child’s brain in a number of ways that helps to improve verbal skills, communication skills and visual skills.  We have noticed a large improvement in Clara's ability to use and understand words and focus on their meaning in relation to conversation since she began playing the piano.

What is ACC:  The Corpus Callosum is the bundle of fibers or main pathway that connects the 2 sides of the brain and enables the 2 sides to communicate with each other.  Without the Corpus Callosum, there are added challenges and difficulties Clara-Leah is faced with.  One of her great sucesses has been piano lessons which she has been taking for two years

I have downloaded a video of her first recital, two weeks ago.  She has reached this point by practising daily on our old piano and I so wish she had a good and simple piano that could reflect her efforts as well as could be.

Please help fund this musical purchase for our daughter, it is something that is completely out of our reach financially.

Thank you
