Campaign Story
There is the popular sentence, that Lithuanians are the last pagans of the Europe. Maybe this is the reason, that nowadays we have alive ancient traditions of annual fests more than in other countries. I am working as photographer on this field almost 50 years, beginning from 1970. Substantial quantity of material has been collected, and I decided prepare the photo album ALONG THE WHEEL OF THE SUN, which shows all annual fests, happening in Lithuania during the year.
All material was presented on the basis of the existing chronological order of the feasts in Lithuania, by also relating it with four seasons. The material on each fest is presented with regard to the sequence of events during the respective feast.
The following feasts are presented:
Catholic holy days:
Christmas, Biblical Magi, Easter (including Palm Sunday and Sunday after Easter), Whitsunday, Assumption to Heaven and All Saints’ Day
National fests that have naturally remained in the Lithuanian tradition:
Shrove Tuesday , Whitsunday,
Fests newly restored according to the ancient Baltic tradition:
Christmas (including Block feast), Perkunas Day, March Equinox, Jore, Feast of Milda, Rasos (Dew Holiday), Assumption Day, September Equinox (including Dagotuves Gathering), Ilges
Some of the feasts are celebrated similarly as in other countries, especially in Eastern Europe. One may guess that they were typical to all countries with moderate climate where the four seasons are clearly marked. I hope that the present photo album will also be of interest outside Lithuania. Texts are in two languages - Lithuanian and English .
There are short annotations in Russian and Chinese .

My photo album is printed already. There are left some operations with the cover, and it will be full finish on the end of this week. I ask funds to cover some debts to the printing house for the photo album printing.
