Campaign Story
Hi Everyone,
Good news! In July I will be a registered pharmacist. I will have this amazing skill which I have spent 4 years in University to aquire and a year training in a hospital. Unfortunately, there are places in the world who are not as lucky as the UK to have a good supply of this skill. In Tanzania, there are about 2 pharmacist per 100,000 people. Rural Tanzania has unusually high rates of Cardiovascular dieases, Hypertension and 1 in 10 people are belived to be living with HIV.
As a pharmacist in Tanzania, I will be engaged in the following:
- providing education and support to staff at the Pharmacy and Health clinic in Moshi, Tanzania
- supporting the counselling services for people living with HIV and women living in inadequate conditions
- serving with a team of doctors and nurses, going on field trips into the local villages to run clinics for those who cannot access healthcare;
- and most importantly helping with the prescription of medicines for Hypertension and Cardiovascular disease.
I have been able to raise half of the money due to the kindness of some generous people; however I require £1200 to cover the trip. Please support me in this worthy cause by giving what you can towards this trip.
