PH Karate Team to 31st SEA Games

Mabuhay and Greetings from the Philippine Team of Karatedo!

We have been selected to represent our country in the upcoming 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) to be hosted in Vietnam this May. In 2019, at the 30th South East Asian Games, the team came home with 2 Golds Medals, 1 Silver Medals and 9 Bronze Medals.

The Philippine Sports Commission's (PSC) funding has been limited and we are in need of financial assistance for the following:

●There are 18 athletes in our current line up however, only 15 athlete slots have been allocated by the PSC. We would like to fundraise for airfare and accommodation for three additional team members.

●New Karate Uniforms

●Official homologated gear to be used during the competition

The above will amount to approximately Php 500,000. Any amount will be greatly appreciated by the whole team.

We continue to seek sponsorship and financial assistance from our long-term benefactors and patrons, but very much like our fellow athletes, training throughout the pandemic, and recently in a post-pandemic environment has increased our typical budgets to include bubble training accommodation, weekly testing and transportation.

In spite of all of these hurdles, we continue to train hard and are determined to represent the Philippines and bring pride to our fellow Filipinos in this prestigious competition.
