PERTUBUHAN PELINDUNG KHAZANAH ALAM (PEKA) MALAYSIA – ORGANIZATION FOR THE PRESERVATION OF NATURAL HERITAGE MALAYSIA

Donation Drive for PEKA Malaysia.

Since its establishment, Pertubuhan Pelindung Khazanah Alam (PEKA) Malaysia or known as Organization for the Preservation of National Heritage Malaysia.
Malaysia has been at the forefront in the fight to save the rainforest of Malaysia from rampant & excessive logging. The rainforest of Malaysia are one of the oldest in the world rich and unique in its flora and fauna. They are the national heritage of the Nation.

Apart from our efforts to protect our rainforest, PEKA Malaysia is also at the forefront of championing other environmental causes.
PEKA Malaysia is actively involved in efforts to protect the environment from the effects of illegal recycling of plastic waste and dumping of plastic waste in Malaysia , mining that cause contamination and damage to the land and water be it bauxite or gold. PEKA is also committed towards resolving the Orang Asli land rights issues throughout Peninsular Malaysia, not just by highlighting their plight but by providing regular humanitarian visits to the affected areas to offer them moral support , food as well as legal aid and initiating dialog between the federal and state governments. To PEKA Malaysia, the Orang Asli have a deep affinity to and are part of the forests in Malaysia.

PEKA has also been involved with gibbon rehabilitation. PEKA runs a center where rescued pet gibbons are rehabilitated by primatologist and related experts before they are released back into the wild to ensure their survivalability. Gibbons are primates and an essential part of evolution.

Keeping these projects going requires substantial funding. The executive committee and members of PEKA Malaysia are made up wholly of volunteers. PEKA Malaysia has been independent of any funding from the government. We survive entirely on public contributions and on the support of well wishers.

We therefore, make this appeal to nature lovers like you, for financial aid to support our efforts in protecting our natural environment for our future generations.
