Mike Needs Your Help

On the night of April 8, my brother Michael was brought to the emergency room. He complained of a headache and numbness of his arm. It was a stroke/aneurysm. At the ER, his condition rapidly deteriorated, due to the bleeding happening in his brain. He eventually lost consciousness that same night.

His condition was being kept stable, as he was still at the ER. The hospital did not have a room available for him. More unfortunately, because of the covid pandemic, we had a very hard time finding a hospital to accommodate him. It took us two nights, calling all possible hospitals, both public and private, within Metro Manila and nearby provinces, where we can place my brother.

We eventually found a hospital that can accommodate Mike. He had major surgery in his brain, to remove the blood clot that had accumulated. It was successful, but until now, my brother has not fully regained consciousness.

Mike is the sole breadwinner of his family. He has a wife and two children. His daughter is 17 years old, while his son is seven. Mike is very loving and caring to his family. He provided for their needs, to the best of his ability.

Currently, Mike is off his ventilator and is breathing through a tracheal tube in his neck. He is being fed through a peg tube inserted in his stomach. He sometimes shows some signs of regaining consciousness. But mostly, he is still unconscious.

Due to his stay at the hospital, his family's hospital bill has already reached close to P2M. This is the reason I started this fundraising campaign, to help my brother and his family, to help them pay for their hospital bill, so that he can be discharged and his family can bring him home.

Mike turned 53 last April 17, alone, in the ICU, without his family beside him, because the Enhanced Community Quarantine is still in effect in Metro Manila. Please help my brother Mike come home to his family.
