Campaign Story
On 19th October 2023, PANAHF commenced its first school food program at Kasuitu Primary School, Empakasi, Athi River. 700 children from nursery to 16 years were provided a balanced meal, often the only one of the day.
The inaugural meal was sponsored by Sati Seehra and his family who commented, “It’s an honour to be able to personally serve the food to the needy children. In fact, it is encouraged in our religion”.
The overwhelming majority of the children come from poor backgrounds with parents unemployed or in some cases with no parents.
The aim of the program is to feed the school children once a week so they atleast have a meal every week that is well balanced and nutritious,
The school headmistress Ms Rosina said, “We are grateful to PANAHF and its team for committing to the weekly food program. These children have had no school meals since 2021; as you can see, they have more than finished their meals. Not a single scrap left”.
The feeding program will run every week, every Thursday or Friday depending on the school calendar. If you would like to join us and feed 700 schoolchildren for less than $150 please get in touch with us on [email protected]
