Both her breasts were removed. Her head is going bald. Her nails are turning dark. But she is smiling; she is still fighting. We are with her on her fight against breast cancer. Unfortunately, hugs and all the love we can give won't pay the hospital bills.

Auntie Ines has dedicated her life to taking care of her family that she stayed single. She dropped out of high school and went on working so her siblings can continue their studies at least till they graduate high school. When we, her nieces and nephews, were born, she volunteered to be our main care provider. She had been there for school meetings, for picnics, for our homework and more.

In 2015, she started feeling sick but she never told us about it. We thought she might be tired from working as a massage therapist. Come 2017, she admitted that she is feeling pain on her breast area. After meeting with a doctor, she was told that it is highly suspected to be breast cancer. Having the "family-first" mentality that she has, she didn't want to burden us. Hiding the pain she feels, she looked into herbal alternatives and met with alternative-treatment doctors as she was scared of operations and chemo treatments.

It was all going well for some time, she was able to go back to work, she was even able to come in and help us take care of our babies when needed. Fast forward early this 2019, her treatments aren't working and she got really sick. We coaxed her into going through an operation to remove the mass on both her breasts. She initially refused because of the possible expenses. Thankfully, a distant relative, who is a surgeon, volunteered to operate on her.

We thought after the operation she will be okay, but in a twist of events, after the biopsy of her extracted mass, she has two types of breast cancer. Each breast is attacked by a different type. Thus, it doubles the medicines she needs for her treatments. It also doubles our financial strain.

So here we are, asking for your help to help her. She is a great aunt who selflessly devoted herself to helping other people not only her family. It breaks our hearts that in her time of need we can't provide for her financial needs. We are from a small-scale farming family in the mountains of Benguet. Due to the previous bad weather conditions, crops aren't as much as before. We don't have any left for the remaining six (6) cycles of her chemo. Unfortunately, our combined and collected funds were scraped off for her previous operations and medications.

We are grateful for any blessings you can share to us. Our children will be even more grateful because of your help, their Lola Auntie will live longer and they will be able to experience her care and love.

Thank you so much. God Bless us all.
