Samuel Kayemba, Senior Pastor at Grace Fellowship Church looks after an orphanage of 116 children in Kampala, Uganda. I came across their website while donating money for a cause in Uganda and contacted Sam through WhatsApp, who shared all these pictures with me. They are in desperate need of food, water, bedding, toiletries, clothing and books to support an orphanage of 116 children. We are aiming for a modest 1000 dollars to start, but there are plans to raise more money to buy land to construct a proper orphanage with chicken coops. They are lacking basic educational resources, i.e laptops, tutoring, books, etc including a vehicle for transportation and an electric generator.

We think sometimes that poverty is only about being hungry, naked and homeless. We believe that poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty of all. While food and shelter are basic human needs, so many children are starving for LOVE. We find love to be the most essential ingredient for a child’s overall well-being. Without love, children suffer emotionally and are limited in their growth as people. Our children are raised in a way that supports their emotional health, through encouragement, cooperation, and family values.
