From the 25th of June 2017 to the 7th of July 2017 I will be a research assistant collecting data from the Pacaya-Samaria National Reserve located in Iquitos, Peru. The dataset, I and other Opwall teams collect will be managed by Fund Amazonia, and is the most extensive in any of the Peruvian reserves and is showing the impact of global climate change on a range of taxa and on the livelihoods of indigenous people. This information is being used to make management decisions for the reserve and policy decisions for conserving the Peruvian Amazon.
