Online Survey: Fake news and Social Media

We are raising money to contact an online survey across European countries, in order to investigate the way users interact with fake news. We need the money to pay for the survey's process. The results will be posted online and we are going to develop a website - more like an online lab - where users will have access to our findings.

A few words about the project:

This research aims at examining how fake news is perceived by users, and how they trust different media. At the same time, it will also investigate measures already taken by platforms, news media companies and civil society organizations to counter the spread of fake news online.

By examining the way users interact with fake news and what methods they follow in order to counter their spread, the research will collect useful insights which could be used as a guideline for the construction of a general strategic against fake political news.
