One Scotch, One Bourbon, One Raki

Hi there! I'm Onur from Istanbul. I majored Translation and Interpreting Studies at Boğaziçi University and graduated last June. One of true delights I find in life is spirits and the culture of it. I have found myself in a place where I want to learn and thus teach more about them by adding our special anise-based distilled spirit Raki into what I will learn and create my own synthesis. For those who have never heard of it, I leave you an introductory ad video here.

You see in one of the pictures a 5-year-old Raki from one of the biggest Raki distilleries, Efe. It is recommended to be drunk on rocks, just like a whiskey. I am planning to combine the outcomes of the programme and insights on Raki to create a bridge between West and East for all those who delights in spirits. WSET Level 1 Award in Spirits enables applicants to learn the basics of distilled beverages. In order for me to start on this journey, I need your assistance.
