What is Oaktree?

Oaktree is young people leading a movement to end poverty. For us, change starts with a simple belief - that extreme poverty is unacceptable. Belief turns into action, and enough informed action will end extreme poverty in our lifetime. Oaktree is Australia’s largest youth-run organisation with over 150,000 members.

Community Leaders

Oaktree Community Leaders is Oaktree’s newest initiative, where young people learn, take action and are a part of a like-minded community. Community Leaders design strategy, and lead and grow Oaktree’s campaigns. They do the hard yet impactful work of transforming public attitudes; bringing more people into the movement. They are leaders of the movement to end poverty.

The 2014 Community Leaders Bootcamp

I have been selected as a Community Leader, and have been invited to attend the 2014 Bootcamp, an intensive training experience, in February next year. As part of the Bootcamp, I will be given the opportunity to hear from international speakers and learn from expert campaigners.

The Bootcamp ticket price is $125 and i will be financing this and all associated travel costs through fundraising and seeking sponsorship. As you can understand, this is a considerable expense, and I would appreciate any financial assistance that you/your organisation could offer me.
