Nurbuling, a school in rural Helambu Region of Nepal, has been contributing in the field of education. Its main objective is to provide free quality education for children with financial difficulties. Along with that organize events and activities to help children get more practical knowledge, develop self confidence, leadership skills and make themselves aware of common social and global problems. There are two children's club established with the aim to help them.
One of them is Nurbuling Children's Eco Club. They have set their goal on cleaning Aama Yangri Peak "3700+m high peak, a pilgrimage site of great value to Buddhist and a beautiful place to hike, enjoy sunrise and beautiful scenery". The site is now full of plastic wrappers and other non-eco friendly garbage making it worse day by day happening due to increased number of trekkers/visitors. Also the site itself is very far away in the forest so the local won't be able to keep watch on it and clean the premises busy due to their own household chores. Thus the Nurbuling Eco Club has decided to make the site beautiful as it was before which will obviously benefit everyone.
Since they are all students from poor economic background with great enthusiasm they lack and need help. They need the funds to do following tasks.
- to keep several Dustbins all over the site separate for wastes that degrades and that doesn't degrade.
- to keep signs that help trekkers know where to find waters and other guidance. (Its very far from people's settlement, mobiles and internet won't come in handy.)
