New Home for Family

I've been living in my grandparents' house for most of my life, I've moved around but always came back because it was cheaper for me to stay here. I have a family of my own and I really want to be able to have a place to call ours, instead of being somewhat of a burden and inconvenience to the other members of the household. However the cost of living is high and my salary is small, I have a student loan that I'm still paying and zero savings. So getting the financing for a mortgage is near to impossible to say the least. So here I am asking for assistance in at least clearing my loan so that I can have a clean slate to get financing to either buy a home or acquire property to build one. I have three more years on my loan left but, without revealing family drama, I'm at a point where I need to leave by the end of this year. Asking for help is not something that comes easy to me and as I type this I wonder if I should even be asking. I know there are others that are worse off than I am but I feel I'm at my wit's end and I need help.
