New computer for remote job

Life with bipolar disorder and PTSD has its ups and downs like everybody elses. My life just goes a little too up and a little too down, a little too often.

I’m Noora, a 29-year-old Finnish woman who’s at the end of her tether. In the last ten years, I have worked in over ten different jobs, trying to find my place and learn how to deal with my mental health issues.

I lost my sister, friend, and my godfather between a very short time period, 2010-2011. After that, I was diagnosed with PTSD because of my sisters' suicide, and later bipolar disorder came into the picture too.

Despite all of this, I have tried my best to fit in the society and go to work as one does. Almost every job has ended because of me having a depressive episode and burning myself out. I have received treatment and therapy, but nothing has stopped the cycle.

Right now, I have been on sick leave from my work for four months again. I have been really desperate and self-destructive, thinking nothing will ever change.

But then, I found out I could possibly work as a freelancer. Doing tattoo designs and writing True Crime articles, things that I love the most. The only thing standing between my new life and the possibility of taking control of my mental health is the fact I need a new computer.

My current laptop is old, and it freezes every 5 minutes while I write, making it difficult to get the work done.

Being on sick leave has caused my salary to go down significantly. That’s why I’m here, asking for any help you could give. No matter how big or small. I plan to use the money on used, older iMac.
