Nature Reserve

Finca Don Raúl is a Nature Reserve located in the cloud forest of Costa Rica. The primary goal of our preservation program is the initial protection of one hundred acres, which provide shelter to numerous endangered animals, including the highland jaguar “Panthera onca”, the largest living cat species living in the Americas today.

The reserve will also protect the natural springs that feed the Rio Térraba, the largest river in Costa Rica.

Sponsorship donations will be used to build and maintain trails, install cameras to monitor wild life behavior, hire additional personnel, general maintenance (repair fences, maintain the facilities, etc.), and eventually purchase additional land to expand the protected territory.
