Nanay Heide’s Fight against The BIG C

Last July 2018, Nanay Heide experienced swelling on her cheek which later on became worse as it grew bigger.

Nanay experienced pain on her left cheek as it grew larger from her eyes to her chin.

On the same month, Nanay Heide went to the hospital to have it checked. Nanay Heide and the family had a hard time looking for cheap laboratory sessions.

In the month of August 2018, she went through series of sessions such as; X-ray, CT scan, MRI, T scan and Biopsy.

At the end of all of these check-ups, the results showed that it was Lymphoma Cancer, stage 2.

Come September 2018, the family was finally able to have her confined at a public hospital for chemotherapy.

Nanay Heide comes from a family who cares and loves for her dearly. The family, friends, and relatives all offered what they can to help in Nanay Heide’s hospital fees.

The help and support grew, but so are the bills Nanay Heide needs to pay.

Her bill for the laboratories amounted to Php80k+. The expenses for every session she has to attend costs 10k – 20k.

The medication called Rituximab costs P96k each and she needs to complete 8 sessions to finally finish the treatment.

Right now, the family waits for her schedule of the following treatment. Nanay Heide continues to fight through her sickness, she just needs a few more hands to support her.
