My Internship Struggles

Hi! My name is Eomjin and currently a mechanical engineering student in Korea.

Growing up, I've always wanted to become an astronaut and recently, I was given an internship opportunity from CERN. And this experience, is definitely going to be a HUGE breakthrough for me.

I am a thriving aspired future engineer, contained with a majestic anticipation of breaking the "who can become what" perspective perceived by society.

CERN is the largest research center basically re-enacting our Universe, the only place that could, not conclusively, but possibly discover the origin of Universe, eventually could lead to the heart of humanity.

As profound as it may sound, there are still so many things that I have to learn from and to put my fullest effort and time into the whole journey throughout my internship.

However, straightforwardly speaking, I am lacking financial support not only from my home country but also from my home school.

My parents had to involuntarily sacrifice a huge amount of money as well recently, as I have lost a place to stay due to a fire incident. Nevertheless, they still support me and my dream full heartedly, despite clearly knowing that we are struggling financially at the moment.

This is what breaks my heart.

I genuinely wish this internship to be the most worthwhile in my 4 years of college life, by absorbing as much as I can, and I wish you to join me on this journey to life!

I am planning on taking my GoPro with me throughout the whole experience from Geneva, Switzerland to everywhere in Europe, to share this opportunity with you. To those who are interested :)
