My father has brain cancer. Please help us raise funds for his chemotherapy.

Hi everyone,

We're kindly seeking your help in raising funds for our father's chemotherapy. He was diagnosed with a rare kind of brain cancer, CNS lymphoma. Because his tumor is very aggressive, the doctor said my father would only have less than 3 months to live if he doesn't undergo chemo right away :( He's also reached the point where he could no longer move the left side of his body because the tumor has grown aggressively.

We are based in the Philippines where there is a national lockdown due to Covid-19. We're not sure if we would be able to keep our jobs and support my father's treatments. With our limited income sources, it would be really hard for us to finance his treatments. The doctors told us that we need a minimum of P2,000,000 ($40,000) to complete his chemoteraphy. Because of the virus, we will be forced to go to a private hospital since most public hospitals are already at full capacity.

During the past months, my father has had to go through brain surgery twice (stereotactic biopsy) to be able to confirm the exact type of his tumor. His initial biopsy had a false negative result but his symptoms kept worsening (he could no longer move half of his body) so we had to go through another surgery to really find out what his disease was. We've already used up our family's savings and have reached out friends and family for help. His two operations have cost us more than P1,000,000 ($20,000) and we haven't even started with the actual treatments :( There's also a possibility that his cancer is also present in other parts of his body. We're currently waiting for his PET CT results.

Any amount or other form of help will be very much appreciated by our whole family. Battling cancer amidst the Covi1-19 crisis has been a nightmare for us. But we want to keep fighting for our dad.
