My birthday for !MPRO Fest in Romania

This year I'm donating my birthday for !MPRO (www.improfest.ro), The Improv Festival in Romania. WAIT..what does this mean? On the 16th of October...and every day until the fundraiser ends Instead of presents I want to redirected everything to the small impromeleon who needs our help. I've recently seen some fundraisers from people who asked support for projects, ideas and projects they're passionate about and also for themselves - and I've had a revelation. We're used to ask for and it's easier for us to do it when it's for someone else or for a social cause - but how about looking for support when it's about something we believe in, and something that brings joy to our community every year?

Yes! I'm donating my birthday for a "cause" I've been fighting for for a few years now, funding improv projects and independent arts projects in Romania still is a struggle as corporate sponsors and possible grants believe it's still a niche and the process of bringing them along takes months...and sometimes years. Despite that for seven years our community managed to have its own festival, meeting on the stage of the National Theatre in Bucharest and enjoying the thing that makes our heart beat faster: improv. And the reason why we kept on going is YOU. Yes YOU! Someone in the community or outside the community who put their resources for the festival, who volunteered for this job with so much responsibility, who bought tickets to the show, who taught workshops, made graphic designs, played with so much joy and professionalism on the stage.

From the 7th to the 10th of November at the National Theatre in Bucharest we'll host the 7th edition of !MPRO and...we have oh....so many wonderful things planned!

Don't buy any presents for me....just support this cause and it will be the perfect present...any donation is welcome and wonderful! For donations of more than 60 lei I'll offer you tickets for shows in the Festival (randomly assigned and in correlation with the seats availability).

I'll give a shoutout to you in the festival on opening night and we'll celebrate together at the official party of the Festival, on the 9th of November, and I'm buying the first beer. :)
