It's already 4 years since I move into my wife's house here in Guinobatan Albay. I am originally from Legazpi City and we both graduated in the same college school. My wife's parent had acquired diabetes since she was just in elementary, now she is 29 and have one brother who is now Grade 12. I used to call her parents 'ma' and 'pa. Ma and Pa are not working for a long period of time due to their condition. To support their 2 children back then, as they are both schooling, they put up a sari-sari store, but they are unable to save enough money for their treatment since ma and pa prioritized their children first for their schooling and daily needs, thus also unable to make some improvement in their 45-year old house.

My wife had a decent job back then working in government agency in Manila for 2 years but in year 2015 the condition of her parents worsen due to complications of diabetes, she had no choice but to resign and go back home to take care of her parents. I remember also visiting Ma and Pa to check their condition and to take them to clinic for check-up once in a while. In a few months the condition of 'Ma' got more worse along with 'Pa' who was already half-blind. However the medication did not improve their health and so happened the day we most feared of--- I think God finds a way to ease the burden in each and one of us, and so not to prolong their agony Ma and Pa rejoins our Almighty Lord in Heaven, Ma in May 2015 and Pa just 4 months after. As the Proverb says when one door closes another door will open and so just last year ,May 6th, which is also the 3rd Year death anniversary of 'ma', me and my wife just have the most wonderful gift from God, a baby girl! Too sad her grandpa and grandma won't be able to hold her and baby sit her since they are gone. They would have been be very happy to see their 'apo' if they are just here. I opted to stay in Ma and Pa's house since it just the four of us staying there, including our new little angel, and it will be easy for me and my wife to tend to his brother's needs and look after him.

Our main problem is the roof which have already holes due to long years of wear and tear. My concern is my 1 year old daughter where when we sleep water is dripping in our bedroom and most part of the house. I have already temporarily applied sealant on the roofs but corrosion already consumed the metal. I have tried my best to provide for my family but since I am the breadwinner, my salary is not enough to meet other family needs, just enough for food, paying for bills and my daughter's milk and other supplies. We have already purchased some corrugated sheets or yero last month, but we still lack 35 pcs in order to fully remove the corroded roof and start the work.

A little help from you generous people with a BIG HEART will be a BIG help for me and my family especially to my daughter. At the end of the day, we all just want our family to be happy right? I PROMISE to myself and God that I will also help those in need when I am capable again in whatever way I can. I believe each one of us has a purpose in this world, not just only for our own needs but also the needs of our brothers and sisters. God Bless you, your family and may God give you inner peace in every day of your lives. MARAMING SALAMAT PO in advance.
