Help GBC Mandaue Chamber Ensemble Purchase Additional Orhestra Instruments

The Grace Baptist Church Mandaue Chamber Ensemble is the Music Extension project of our family, under SG Ministries, to develop classically trained instrumentalists for Grace Baptist Church Mandaue and continue our advocacy for good, quality Sacred music. Aside from that, we want to impart the important values of discipline, patience and teamwork. We believe music training will have long-term positive benefits to our members and will help them become better individuals.

Started in 2014 with one flute student, we now have 12 growing regular players for different instruments including: Clarinet, Flute, Cello, Viola, Violin, Classical Guitar, Bass & Bassoon. (A local orchestra, where some of our players also have weekly lessons, lent us an extra Bassoon. They also provided us with a lot of advice and encouragement).

The finances from this campaign is mainly to purchase a basic set of 2nd hand Timpani (26" and 29") and Bassoon. The remaining funds will help support most of players' weekly music lessons with teachers from different orchestras in Cebu.

Developing a solid, well-trained, quality ensemble is a long-term endeavor that requires a lot of dedication and resources. Our goal is to set an example by maintaining a higher standard of church music-making that will glorify God.
