Who am I?

My name is Marius Popa,I am 18 years old and I am from Chisinau,Moldova. This year I have graduated from a christian High School. I am member of a christian family and I concluded a covenant through baptism 2 years ago. Now,I have a strong desire to go and bring the Gospel among the least reached.

Local Mission

In the local church „Sfânta Treime” (The Holy Trinity)and ,,Logos” I am a part of the worship group and also I serve God there through preaching the Gospel and sharing the God’s Word. With the church,we have a specific time when we go and bring the hope of Word to a person or a family.

Day camp for children

Over the years I have had the opportunity to get involved with the church in several day camps for children, where I served as a sport instructor and in the theater. Children were able to hear the Word of God in a funny and educative way.

"Winged Soul" music band

I am a bassist and trumpeter and I was able to go with the members of the band and share the Word in a musical way.

In the spring of 2019 I played in a musical, called “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Coat”, directed by Richard Montez and its purpose was to evangelize the locals from the Nisporeni city.

Global mission

What is Logos Hope?

It is a ship that has the goal to enrich the knowledge of people, to help them and to give them a new hope in Jesus Christ. Navigating from one port to another, the “Logos Hope” team tries to provide the fulfillment of the basic needs of the people and they are ready to help by donating goods, by building a house, by medical assistance etc., practically showing God’s love for mankind.

A businessman or a missionary?

Praying God for understanding His will and plan for me, I had two possibilities in my mind, either to become a businessman, going to a university in a foreign country, or to go in mission in order to share the hope of the Word. Inside of me, I knew that the will of God is to bring the Gospel, but perhaps, through the friends’ influence, I wished in a certain moment to go at university, when 5 days before graduation from the High School, a good friend told me about his desire to go on Logos Hope. It encouraged me to make the same step and decide to dedicate a year of my life for people that need Jesus. Now, I surely know that it is the will of God and He will guide me further to discover what I have to do.

3. Startup money. I need an amount of 1500 € to be able to participate to the GO Conference** and for the plane ticket to the ship destination.

*Without your support I will not be able to go in the mission! I need them till 20 august, but 250 €/month
