Mila’s Colon Cancer Treatment

Last November 2016, on her birth month, my mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.

Countless hospital visits, lining up on government offices to ask for financial aid and loans, laboratory tests and medications, two surgeries, and several grueling chemotherapy sessions later, mama is still putting up a huge fight against her disease.

Our family has been working as hard as we can to give her the best care possible, but we have already burned through all of our life savings and available loans as the complications and necessary treatments like chemo and minor surgeries continue to pile up.

Since the diagnosis, we have already spent no less than PHP 1,000,000.

Our doctors predict that they would continue to grow as we continue to face complications and suppress cancer growth through chemotherapy.

To my friends, workmates, and even to strangers out there, I'd like to humbly ask for your help as my mother courageously and faithfully stands against this life-changing ordeal. While Stage 4 Cancer is every bit as scary and dangerous as it sounds, I believe that with my mom's willpower and financial support, there's still much to be done against it.
