midgetME – Together for a Beautiful Earth

Live sustainably and healthily can be very simple, yet crucial. Either to ensure your child has a beautiful Earth to live on. Maybe you are concerned about human survival for our generation and the generation to come. Maybe you don’t want the beautiful flora and fauna to disappear from Earth’s surface. Or simply just to have good health so that you can see the sunlight again tomorrow. Whatever the concern is, you should have already begun to work on some solutions. However, many still do not see the importance of that, especially those in developing countries.

In the modern world, many people are overburdened by their everyday wants and needs. Thus, they are disconnected from nature and forgot about how crucial is an environment for our survival. People try to fulfil their inner psychological needs with external material objects. Therefore, creating plenty of unnecessary waste of Earth's resources. Some may have the perception that they are very tiny in this world, and so powerless to save the world. Some may assume that others will take care of the Earth, so I don't need to. They have forgotten about the strength of collaboration. Some believed that science and technology will save the world and cure all diseases. So, I do not need to worry at all. They missed out the fact that they have the power to guide science and technology in a right direction.

In midgetME, we believed that collective actions and knowledges will be a great power to save the Earth, and ourselves. Hence, a Tiny, Powerless Me will be able to save the beautiful Earth. We have identified three Operation Units (OU) to drive midgetME’s mission. The Online Platform Unit will reach out to the community for health and sustainable (HaS) lifestyle. Apart from communicating our concept and scientifically proven information to the community, the online platform is also encouraging 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) activities. Subscribed members will be able to give away, exchange or selling their used, still functioning items. They can also upload the information of any recycling stations they come across everywhere in the world, to our recycling map.

HaS require one to tune their lifestyle slowly. In midgetME, we strongly believed that education, especially targeting younger generation and family, will be very effective in encouraging HaS lifestyle. In this, we plan to hold classes, camps, discussion groups, etc., in our own facility or at schools. Our mission can be easily achieved if a person was trained at their early age, and start to practice HaS since young. For this, the Education Unit will identify the topics of each session, and design effective training methods and materials.

Pay attention to little things and actions in life are important for HaS lifestyle. Those little things and actions, when added up, will be significant. Our Trade and Guide Unit will continue to identify things and processes in life that can be changed, and create a product or identify third-party’s products to sell. This selling of verified green products will help midgetME to sustain our future operations to reach more people. If a product is not necessary, our R&D Team will create a guiding video or step-by-step guides to share with everyone. At the same time, we will be also provide healthy meal in our own HaS cafe. The cafe will act as a good platform for us to meet people and educate them about simple healthy eating, and how to live sustainably.

Turning one’s life too drastically into HaS lifestyle will be hard to accept for many people. Thus, midgetME is here to hold your hand and walking the HaS lifestyle with you, one step at a time. Thought we have already begun our first Operation Unit on our online platform known as midgetme.com, we are still ways of achieving our objectives, and there are still two Operation Units on paper waiting to be executed.
