Campaign Story
When Mt Taal errupted on January 12, many animal welfare volunteers rescued as many abandoned and displaced animals as they could in the aftermath.
An estimated 400 pets are currently being housed at the Tumalim Shelter in Nasugbu, Batangas. The Tumalim Shelter is owned by a private individual who gladly opened up the shelter while these furkids are waiting to be reunited with their owners or get adopted eventually.
Various animal welfare groups, in coordination with Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), Philippine Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA), Philippine Pet Birth Control Center and (PPBCC) and Petdentity Phils Inc has pledged ongoing support for these furkids.
One of the planned effort is to have the pets microchipped individually to establish identity and track their vaccinations and treatments.
Due to the generosity of Petdentity Phils Inc, Angkop and DLSAU Beta Sigma, we are able to cover 300 pets and just need funding for the remaining 100 pets.
Microchipping costs 300 pesos per pet and we are asking your kind heart to sponsor these 100 remaining pets.
