Megan’s Birthday Fundraiser For Her Heart Fund

Update posted by Regine Yagaya On Oct 15, 2020

When the time that I give birth to Megan until she was 2 years old. Megan is a happy child, naughty child, good at eating, she likes to take pictures on my number cellphone with a waky face. Until he came 3 years old last September 2019 everything changed suddenly she swelled all over her body and I did not know what to do. Until my mom told me to take her to the hospital to checked up her by the doctor. And the doctor's find out her illness. Her doctor did a lot of laboratory tests on Megan until her laboratory tests and the kidney was been negative for any disease. Doctor gave us a request perform a 2decho for Megan to see if her heart is the main cause of swelling of her all body.

And until we did what the doctor ordered to us . DR JOSE N. RODRIQUEZ MEMORIAL HISPITAL scheduled Megan to perform 2decho last October 2019 and when the result comes and her doctor read the result we turned out that Megan has a rare kind of heart deasses called Dilated Cardiomyopaty. And her doctor said that her left heart was getting enlarge, also she has a little water in her heart that time and cannot pump blood efficiently. when the doctors find out that her disease was Dilated Cardiomyopaty her doctor gave Megan a 1 month treatment of Digoxin and Furosimide and her doctor said that after 1 month she has to be treated and she should go back to the hospital to have 2decho done again. To find out if the medicine given by her doctor is getting her heart better. But because we were struggling financially at the time we did not get her back to the hospital and also because of the pandemic that the whole world is experiencing today. Because we are one of those people who lost our jobs my husband and i dont know what to do because of this pandemic that sometimes we just rely on government assistance which is very long before they give to their constituents before the Filipinos receive the help my countrymen will still experience hunger especially my family and I. So we could not bring Megan back to the hospital because it also got to the point. The hospital locked down because of Covid Possitive because all the patients were taken there. Since we last took Megan to the hospital last October 2019 we have brought her back again in July 2020 because Megan experienced Mild Cardiac Arrest during the Lockdown period in the philippines and by the grace of the lord my daughter passed that test. But when she had not been returned to the hospital for 9 months I was observing Megan I noticed that her left chest has grown and usually during that time she was having difficulty breathing, bloating of stomack pain, swelling of legs, arm. But due to lack of enough fund these time we did not bring Megan to hospital again to see the doctors her condition right now that continuesly not good. At this month of September 2020 we need to send her back to the hospital again. Because Megan needs to be observe by her Pediatric Cardio Doctor to be seen again because her condition right now. As a mother is getting worse when I see my child suffering like that at her younger age and I cant do nothing because of the hardships of life and here in the philippines only a few hospitals accept patients during this pandemic and every action we take here money is needed and since we did not have it then we could not return her to the hospital due to lack of funds.

So here I am campaigning for Megan if we can raise enough funds for Megan to support her medicine, medical expenses, hospital bills and other needs of Megan and may there be good people who are willing to help our family especially my daughter Megan to live longer with us.
