Papa is now with our lord in heaven today at 1:55am. Medical Cause: fatal arrhythmia

The ICU doctor called me at 1am that his heart has slowed down. Me and my husband rushed to the hospital. Along the way the doctor called again to inform that they have started CPR.

As we arrived at the ICU, all the staff nurse and doctors were present resuscitating him in front of us.

It was at 1:55 am the 10th time and there was still no response and no heart beat. As we were told by the doctor, the first 5 mins his brain had lost oxygen.

Just spoke with papas pulmonary doctor. The operation this morning was deferred. His heart rate was 190. The procedure has not yet even started and the anesthesiologist refused to continue. It was too risky. So he is still in the ICU for obersvation until he is stable.

Next option is Thoracentesis just to remove lung fluid. But we are waiting for clearance from the cardiologist.

Papa's condition is stable and on CPAP mode on the ventilator that starts his breathing trial.

Further blood tests were done to check if there are any clotting in his blood veins.

It was only til noon we were able to decide to have the operation done. Thanks to our Lord we were able to make a partial payment.

We signed the consent for the operation but since we decided late the only available next slot in the OR is Wednesday morning.

Kuya Richard went to PCSO for financial assistance which takes an entire day to process and wait

The doctors wanted to know from us what our decision was if we go through pigtail catheter insertion or thoracentesis.

Thoracentesis is cheaper but less effective than the catheter that continously drains the fluid.
