Medical Emergency/ Save My Leg!

Hello friends, as many of you know, I have sent the last 7 months exploring Cambodia and teaching English. After COVID-19, with schools shutting down, unfortunately I lost my job. Remaining positive, I dug into the online work realm, even though it seemed impossible to support my finances through that.

After weeks of hard work, marketing myself, learning online teaching strategies and implementing ideas I had learned through leadership platforms, I made it to a point that I could cover my rent, food, and just the littlest bit of enjoyment.

One of those hobbies became bike riding, it was free, I was able to experience the country here, and it was great exercise (especially in this heat). This was until my bike pedal exploded leaving a giant gash in my calf.

At first I was not concerned. I went to the clinic and got stitched up, antibiotics, and was on my way. I go back daily for cleaning and re bandaging, but after the 7th day, they found a serious infection and necrosis. MOre antibiotics, more visits, etc. Today, I have been told that it is getting worse. This will be the last attempt at antibiotics (which are 25x more expensive) and if they don't work, intravenous antibiotics and/or the removal of the entire infected area may be necessary.

Those of you that know me know that a handout is the last thing I would ask for, but at this point, as little as $1 from some of you will keep me fed and keep me on the medication.
