Medical costs for Aris a TB sufferer in the Philippines

Aris is a young man 20 years of age, with a big smile that has TB, he sleeps on a piece of cardboard tucked in a corner of a building on notorious Fields Avenue. He has nothing and survives with the kindness of passers bye, he is polite, gentle and very sick. He scrapes together enough to get his medicine and some food. He doesn't complain, always with a ready smile.

I saw him sleeping on his piece of cardboard with his medicine at his head, no pillow nothing no covering, and though the weather is warm enough in the Philippines it has been very wet this year.

I try to get down and see how he is doing and to buy some food and check with the people and the workers in the bar how he is going and to make sure that they keep and eye on him. but having TB it keeps people from getting too close. I am not sure how much time he has but from his physical appearance, not much.

I wish I could do more but am only on a pension and have a family myself to take care off, but do what I can can.

If we can get enough money together to at least get him better accommodation and regular food and access to medication regularly we can make his life a little better, saving it will be difficult.

How much, that I don't really know I would like to be able to get him at least P1000 a week, about $25 Australian or a lump sum of P30,000 which would give us a chance to get him better accommodation.

I know he would like to work, but his physical condition and his disease precludes this.

Please help this young man, any donation would be helpful and my promise is that he will receive every peso raised.
