Medical cost for my Papa

Hello Everyone,

I am humbly seeking help from anyone who can share their blessings to help my papa, Artemio Vizcarra who is currently admitted in the hospital primarily due to the obstruction of gallstones that affected his liver, pancreas, kidneys, blood volume and the like.

My papa has been in and out of the hospital since last year. Initially because of a lesion found in his lungs and last April, he suffered from a mild stroke and thank god he was able to recover from both. These situations massively depleted our minimal funds but we were all greatful that he was able to surpass the trials.

However, a couple of weeks ago, he continuously suffered from stomach ache and vomiting that prompted several trips to the ER and was diagnosed with peptic ulcer. Several medications were given but last Saturday, his stomach pain and vomitng got worse to the point that he cannot stand up anymore.

We head to a private hospital this time in the hope for better management but upon arrival, we were asked for a deposit which we don't have. My papa was then immediately sent outside the ER because of lack of funds. That is the time we blindly decided to head to St. Luke's where my sister is an employee.

The doctors and staff were all aggressive and he was immediately diagnosed with the obstruction. We were advised to have him admitted in the ICU because of his critical condition. Unfortunately, we refused as it would cost 60 to 80k per day. My papa was admitted in a progressive care unit since Sunday.

He showed significant improvement since his admission. And his doctors are very optimistic of his recovery. But it will be a long road ahead. Our bills are piling up. It already accumulated to 200k as of this morning. We have gathered all our resources with the help of my titas and seeked the help from PCSO as well but it would not be enough.

In behalf of my siblings, my mama and the rest of my family members, we are knocking on your good hearts to spare any amount that will be a tremendous help for the recovery of Mang Temeng.
