Gelia’s Heart Battle

Time is so fast that I could not imagine that it was really happening to our family. I’ve seen this scenarios on tv but never in my wildest dream that it could also happen to us.

Me and my siblings grew up without anything. We were not born with a golden spoon but because of my mom’s sacrifices and hardship we we’re able to graduate in college, got a job and started reaching our dreams. So you see, these things would not be possible without my mothers perseverance, hardwork and sacrifices.

Currently, our family is facing a difficult challenge because our pillar of strength is now in critical condition. Yes, our mother was diagnosed to have a STEMI ANTEROSEPTAL WALL. It is a full blown heart attack caused by the complete blockage of a heart artery. One of the veins is “naglupok” and were spreadout that causes the blockage. Also because of her diabetic and high blood it causes more complications.

Her doctor informed us that she will not give us an assurance that our mother will be okey unless she will undergone some procedures either ANGIOPLASTY OR BYPASS HEART SURGERY. Prior to that procedure she will first go through angiogram. It is a procedure that uses X-ray imaging to see your heart's blood vessels. The test is generally done to see if there's a restriction in blood flow going to the heart. Either procedure costs 600k to 1.3M since those procedures are not available here in BACOLOD.

In behalf of our family, we are knocking in your heart if you can help us raise money for my mother’s medication and whatever procedure will be made, as well as offer a prayer for her. Any donations will be greatly appreciated and for sure can help to save our mother’s life. Above all, your prayers are most powerful than any medicines and procedures. We believe prayers can move mountains.
