Living in Umapad, Mandaue City, is 77-year-old Felix Fermin. He'd had an upper right abdominal ache for the previous two weeks, which had been sudden and quickly getting worse. Because the drug was ineffective and efficient, we continued to see our doctor for another two weeks.
We have performed all necessary tests to determine the source of his pain, including bloodwork, urinalysis, and CT scans. When we got the results, the doctor told us that they would need to perform surgery because they had found a gallstone-filled mass on his intestines. The fees, which normally run from 200 to 300, initially made our family unsure.
My lolo responded, "Diko pa opera kay wa tay kwarta," but in the end, we all decided to have the surgery. And certainly, we were concerned about the surgery because he was getting older. The procedure was set for Tuesday at 1 PM (Philippine time), and after a long day, the bills arrive.
