Hi. I am Wendie Montes. In our humbling incapacity, I am mustering my courage to reach out to everyone of you to help my cousin, Allyssa, for her hospitalization, and surgical needs, and expenses.

On the fateful night of 28 November 2020, while she and her friend were riding a motorcycle at an average speed, they were surprised to be greeted by a roadwork that occupied the entire road, in a dark corner, in a street in Albay which bore no signs and had no lights. Albeit her friend who was driving the motorcycle decelerated and was able to step on the brakes, Allyssa was thrown off the motorcycle.

This is the street where the accident took place. Only it was dark, no light and no signage whatsoever.

The accident cost her most of her teeth, fractured both sides of her mandible (lower jaw), lacerated her lower lip and wounded her chin. Aside from the obvious assault to her self-esteem caused by the glaring stitches on her chin, she is still in pain. As of even date, she cannot yet sit up on her own. Her doctor told us that her body will continue to sore. Due to her broken mandible, she cannot speak properly and cannot tolerate food. To feed her, a naso gastric tubing (NGT) was inserted into her nose to her stomach, where osteurized food will be introduced.

Currently, she is hospitalized in Estevez Memorial Hospital. However, due to the projected hospital expenses that will be incurred, her parents opted her to be transferred to the Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital.

Currently, she is already billed around P30,000.00 for her hospital stay. She will also be scheduled for the surgery of her mandible which approximately will cost around P250,000.00 (the operation alone). Post operative, she will also be put on therapy and rehabilitation.

This is my cousin, Allyssa Khrys M. Verches. She is 22 years old and a 3rd Year student of CAT College-Legazpi. This is her before the tragic accident that befall upon her last 28 November 2020 which deformed her face and battered her body.

November 29,2020. First day in the hospital. She sent this to me thru messenger. Telling me that she is in severe pain.

On the same day, she couldn't open wide her mouth, she couldn't eat, and couldn't speak properly. That's the best photo we could get.

She needs to undergo surgeries. For her mandibular fractures.

December 1, 2020

While everyone in the family pitches in whatever they can, due to the pandemic, it will not be enough. I, on behalf of my cousin and her parents, humbly knock on your hearts to hear our plea. No amount of help will be considered small. Everything will be greatly appreciated.

Allow me to thank you already for taking time in reading this and sharing with our pain for Allyssa. It's almost Christmas and it breaks our heart to be coming home to her like this. Please help us make Allyssa's Christmas be more bearable albeit her condition.

Thank you very much. Dios na po ang bahalang magbalos saindo!
