Marie Anne Concepcion-Magpantay’s Medical Fund

Hi everyone,

We are raising funds for a dear friend and neighbor, Marie Anne Concepcion-Magpantay or more fondly called, Meanne.

Meanne, 39 years old, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare blood disease (categorized as refractory cytopenia with multineage dysplasia) in February 2016.

Apart from hospital confinement, weekly monitoring, laboratory tests, and check-ups with hema, she is a blood transfusion dependent, needing 6-8 bags per session.

She also needs iron therapy transfusion twice a week.

In July 2017, she’s been diagnosed with Barter syndrome, a rare inherited defect in the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle. It is characterized by low potassium levels (hypokalemia), increased blood pH (alkalosis), and normal to low blood pressure.

Her family is spending more than P50,000 a month, and right now, they’ve got no one else to turn to. Meanne needs our financial support.
